TRIAS Telematica in full swing
October 24th, 2005
The TRIAS Telematica project is now reaching the crucial stage: building what we decided to deliver as training modules.
The project started 11 months ago and a lot of time has been spent on analyses and the first designs.
The first half of the year 2006 was spent on targets and tests. The Dutch partners Zenc and UVA, together with the eGovernment centre in The Hague and a web company called “United Knowledge” created a simulation game to train civil servants engaging in so called “civil registries”.
This game is so succesful in helping civil servants to collaborate in the digital age, that we have decided to give it a central role in the Trias project.
The University of Amsterdam and the Ministry of Finance in Budapest are working together on modules regarding cross border collaboration between European tax agencies. This is a matter of communication, international agreements, risk analyses, enforcement knowledge and trust.
Zenc, The University of Bologna and The Hague School of Public Administration (Haagse Hogeschool) are . designing the European eGovernment wiki. This is a real challenge since a networked knowledge base needs a smart architecture to be useful or it becomes an organic mess to soon.
Other partners like EPMA and NISpacee help to define the game and the modules.
The advisory board of trias will meet in Brussels september 2oth.
In october we will meet again in Budapest to demonstrate the first prototypes and discuss the next steps under guidance of the London Burrough of Islington.
The goal is to work towards a test summer course in the summer of 2007.
